Mike Turner

Mike is our Managing Partner who uses quality management processes to identify risks and drive improvement. With a career in operations management and a recognised leader and author in strategic business improvement, Mike is known for his pragmatic approach and ability to work with boards to de-risk businesses and build success.

Mike works in a range of sectors, particularly manufacturing, energy and utilities, media and oil and petrochemicals, working in China, India, America, Canada, Middle East and Europe.  He adds value in:

  • Supporting new chief executives – helping co-create a robust but speedy strategic business plan for stakeholders and management team, ensuring everyone is clear about roles and targets
  • Problem solving – losing market share, poor product performance, supply chain issues, poor customer service and delivery
  • Coaching and mentoring leadership teams to be strategic thinkers
  • Bringing management teams together – ensuring everyone has a voice in strategic planning

Mike plays a strategic role with the CQI and has co-authored two publications to support the introduction of the new professional competency framework.

Mike did his MBA at Durham University, winning the top prize for his thesis on client relationships in professional services, coming up with different service models for different client needs and objectives.  He now puts this theory into practice!
